Collections
Start with the kind of title you feel like, then pick one.
Ongoing series
Every series still returning, with the episodes dated so far. The shelf to open the week a new cour starts, and the one Recently Updated draws from.
New in 2026
Series and films that started in 2026: Jack-of-All-Trades, Party of None, Daemons of the Shadow Realm, Monster Eater, Ghost Concert, The Classroom of a Black Cat and a Witch and the rest of this year's simulcasts.
Shounen action
One Piece, Jujutsu Kaisen, Bleach, Naruto, Black Clover and the tournament arcs that made the tag famous. Start from the first episode or pick up the cour you skipped.
Isekai and other worlds
Mushoku Tensei, Re:ZERO, Slime, Overlord, Isekai Quartet and the other reincarnation stories. Read the first line of the synopsis before committing: some are comedies, some are not.
Romance
Your Name, A Silent Voice, Weathering with You, Horimiya and the slow-burn school stories. Most of the films are a single evening on the big screen.
Slice of life
K-ON!, Bocchi the Rock!, Yano-kun's Ordinary Days and the quieter shows about clubs, part-time jobs and friends. Good when the room wants something that needs no recap.
Sports anime
Haikyu!!, Blue Lock, Ace of the Diamond, Slam Dunk and Fighting Spirit. Real rules, invented rivals, and matches that run across several episodes.
Mystery and crime
Death Note, Monster, Erased, The Apothecary Diaries, Summer Time Rendering and the other stories built on a question. Skip the episode summaries if you want to guess along.
Action and adventure
The largest shelf and the one most often put on for a room: the long shonen, the isekai adventures and the franchise films that continue them.
Drama
Character-led series and films, many of them a single cour that finished, so the episode list is short and the ending is a real one.
Comedy
One-Punch Man, Spy x Family, Gintama, The Devil Is a Part-Timer! and the gag series that are easier to dip in and out of than a serialised drama.
Sci-fi, fantasy and mecha
Evangelion, Gundam, Cowboy Bebop, Psycho-Pass, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Frieren and Solo Leveling. Most of the classics are finished, so there is no waiting.
Chinese animation (donghua)
Renegade Immortal, Fights Break Sphere, Soul Land 2, Link Click, Scissor Seven and the other Chinese series people found under the Chinese tab. Original audio is Mandarin; the subtitles are on the service.
Anime movies
Films from Akira and the Ghibli catalogue to Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle and Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc. A film may continue a series, retell it, or stand alone; the year and the summary tell you which.
Highest scored series
Series with a TMDB audience score of 8.3 or better and at least five hundred votes behind it. A 2004 run and a 2024 run sit next to each other with nothing but the number between them.
Long-running series
One Piece, Naruto Shippūden, Bleach, Gintama, Fairy Tail and the other runs past a hundred and fifty dated episodes. Mark the episode you reached and the place is kept, for everyone who shares the screen.
90s and early 2000s classics
Dragon Ball Z, Sailor Moon, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Yu Yu Hakusho, Great Teacher Onizuka and the films of the era. Shorter episode counts than you might expect for some of them.
